Spent most of the day with the Plein Air Painters out at the John Dunn Bridge near Rio Hondo, which is North of Taos.

Just gorgeous. Fabulous painting.

The conditions couldn't have been better; about 68 degrees, no wind and just the clearest blue skies.

And then right on the dot at noon, the spring winds came up. :(

This was the largest plein air event I've ever attended. There were at least thirty of us out there painting. It was really weird having painters in all directions!

And boy howdy, did we spook the natives!

Someone even sent out a Park Ranger to see what the hell we were doing. He was pretty flabbergasted. We weren't breaking any rules, so he had a look and left.

I wonder what his report looked like. . .
